My nose is frozen!! This morning I had to go to the dentist to get a tooth fixed, and when they froze my mouth, the freezing has seeped up to my nose. I've had to get this tooth fixed around five times by now, as it keeps on rechipping. This time I think it's really well done, since we have a new great dentist, Dr. Wessels. It's the same tooth that I broke in grade 9 trying to pull a staple out of something. Teeth are not meant to pull staples out of stuff. That's what staple removers are for. I should have used a staple remover to pull out the staple.
Sometimes I think that's the way we go about our lives, living in a way that isn't our intended purpose. I believe that our purpose is to be in a relationship with God, and that when we live as if He doesn't exist, we're living our lives in the wrong way, like trying to pull a staple out with our teeth. I could pretend that teeth are the best way to pull out a staple, and go through life chipping all my teeth up and pretending everything is okay, but that doesn't mean that it's the best way to live. Staple removers exist, and my life is a lot better knowing about them. My teeth should thank me for it too.
