TRICKS AND TRINKETS AND WHATNOT...ALL TOGETHER IN ONE CONVENIENT LOCATION

Wow, I set a new record for the longest time without updating my blog, and it's been almost a month. I'm sure that by now I've lost all my faithful readers, so I'm writing to myself. It will take some time to regain everyone's trust.
A lot has happened since the last update, including spending two weeks up at RockRidge on assignment, doing the program for Junior High camp. It was a great time, and we had a lot of fun getting to know the leaders and the young campers that were there, 360 in all.
While I was there, pretty much the scariest thing in my life also happened. On July 6 I got an e-mail from Rachel, saying that she and Zion had been in a car accident. She was moving our car to the back of her parents' house, and had to pull out of one entrance to the driveway and into the other entrance. She looked both ways and didn't see anyone coming, but once she pulled out a young lady sped around the corner and slammed into the back of the Volvo, rendering it inoperable. The car is now a write-off, but thank God that Rachel, Zion, and our unborn baby are fin (other than a bit of a sore neck for Rachel). What could have been the worst moment in our lives has, by the grace of God, become a story that we will never forget, and will remind us to be thankful for the life that we have.
Now we are looking for a minivan, since we were going to upgrade anyway.

Thank you Volvo, for making such a safe car to protect my valuables.
