Eighteen Months of Joy

As Zion is nearing eighteen months old, she has been baby-talking a lot more lately. She seems to have her own language, and strings a bunch of non-sensical (to us) words together into sentences. We never taught her baby signing, but she has figured out other ways of communicating her wants and needs, including shaking her head and saying no, pointing to her diaper, and saying "Ow" if something hurts.
We have under two months until she will be an older sister, and we're been trying to figure out how to prepare her for that. I think that she'll be a great older sister, and it's awesome she has been such an easy child to raise ever since birth.
Rachel is looking forward to being at home with Zion and ther other one again for another 52 weeks (a great deal compared to most countries), and she has only six more shifts until she reaches the magical 600-hour mark. You can do it Rach!

Zion is all smiles, knowing that she'll be back with Mommy every day!
