TRICKS AND TRINKETS AND WHATNOT...ALL TOGETHER IN ONE CONVENIENT LOCATION

When I was at skate camp at RockRidge Canyon in the summer, there was a guy there from Washington with a Rubik's Cube. Everyone has seen Rubik's Cubes, played with them a little bit, but I don't think that most people have put in a serious effort to solve one (other than taking off the stickers and putting them on the right sides). This guy from Washington, however, could actually solve the Rubik's Cube, and he partially explained his strategy, which intrigued me. "Wouldn't it be so cool," I thought, "to have a Rubik's Cube laying around our living room, and then when someone comes over and comments on it, I could just pick it up and solve it, in like a minute or two?"
Well, I did some research and on the internt you can find detailed instructions to solving a Rubik's Cube. I printed them off and tried for days to follow them, but I could only get it two thirds solved and gave up.
Now I read that they had the World Rubik's Cube Championships in San Francisco last week, and a guy set a new record for solving a Rubik's Cube, in 11.13 seconds. That's pretty close to as fast as the world record in the 100 metre sprint! Watch the video profiling the event, which also included a blind-folded Rubik's Cube solving competition. Impossible you say? Check it out, you'll be amazed!

Thats kinda like a learning how to rip a phone book in half. I have always wanted to then one day surfin the net I stumbled on how to do it. Its neat and its easy . You can even do it if you dont have hughnormous muscles popping out of odd places on your body. Now if only I could learn how to do a backflip Id be set. Rubik's cube, phone book tear, and a backflip. That like geting a grab bag from a buddy's b-day party when we were all young.

    their hands were like flying!!
as cool as tearing a telephone book in half is,
i think solving a rubiks cube in 12 seconds would be so much cooler.
