I miss Zion and Rachel so much. They're coming back from Kelowna today, and we're going to spend a lot of family time together tonight and this weekend. I was looking through our Christmas pictures, and Zion was so cute when she was opening her presents on Christmas Eve. She definitely won't remember her first Christmas, but these pictures will live forever. It's funny too, how it always seems like she's at the pinnacle of cuteness but she only gets cuter and more loveable every day. That's what being a parent is all about.
I saw a great movie this week, called Syriana, and there is a scene where a guy's young son jumps into a pool that is electrified and dies (sorry if you haven't seen it). This kind of thing is seen in a whole new light when you're a parent, and tears flowed pretty easily when I was watching it. Parenthood, it's a whole new sense of love and protection that can't be replicated.

Zion and Rachel, the two people that I would die for without a moment's hesitation.
