I got home from Club last night and turned on the TV to watch the election results, which are so important for our country. I was pretty impressed with the teenagers I talked to, with many of them having an interest in the election. It's good to see that they aren't out of touch with what's going on in their country.
I also read this morning an interesting story about a man in Nova Scotia who was charged with theft on Monday after stealing a ballot box in his home riding of New Glasgow. Apparently it was the same man who stole another ballot box during thte federal election six years and threw it into a harbour. This time he took it and ran over it with his truck in the parking lot, but luckily all the ballots were recovered. Seems like this is a guy that the authorities should keep their eye on when the next election rolls around. I've heard of politicians or parties stealing votes, but this brings whole new meaning to the term.
