Since I got my first e-mail address back in 1996 or so, I probably haven't gone seven days without checking my e-mail. But during this holidays, staying at Rachel's parents' place in Kelowna, I have felt tremendously disconnected from technology. Not only that, but we haven't been home and feel disconnected from out friends in Vernon too. Tomorrow, Saturday, we are coming back to Vernon, and will be looking for something to do for New Year's Eve. If it comes down to us inviting a few friends over to ring in the New Year, that sounds like a lot of fun to me.
It has been a crazy week at the Neuman household, with ten adults and four toddlers in the house, a full-on ping pong tournament, hockey at the Capital News Centre, a "family" volleyball tournament in Winfield, curling in Kelowna, cribbage and rook back at the house, and a lot of sitting in the rented hot tub in the back yard, chatting with family.
Zion loved being with her little cousins, and it's awesome that she's so close in age to them all. Next year there will probably at least a couple more, and the year after that, and the year after that...
