There was a story in the paper today about a woman from France who tried to open the door of her airplane while it was in the air. I guess she had been drinking some wine on the flight, and was a little intoxicated, and she just had a yearning for a smoke. The story says:

"She walked toward one of the aircraft's emergency exits with an unlit cigarette and a lighter in her hand and began tampering with the door, prosecutors said. But a flight attendant intervened and took Sellies back to her seat."

Now I don't know about you, but I've seen enough movies to know that if she had opened the door, she would have been sucked out along with everyone else, unless she were as strong as Arnie or Sly. In fact, the G-forces on the plane would probably be enough to crush the plane altogether. Maybe those movies haven't been dubbed into French yet.
