It's Wednesday, so that means there's major rugby action going on today in Vernon. the Grade 8 Boys have a game, Kal at Fulton, and the Junior Boys have a game also, Fulton at Kal. We'll see once and for all who the rugby kings in Vernon are.
The volleyball team that I'm coaching with Matt has their provincial championships in Kelowna this weekend, and I was pretty disappointed that we had only four guys show up to our last practice of the year yesterday. Maybe we should have been more strict in making people come to practice, but I also know that there are other sports going on now too, namely rugby, lacrosse, and soccer. Do I think that volleyball is more important than those? No, although I like playing it more. I also realise that people who play a lot of different sports are pretty well-rounded, and having different interests and skills make life more fun.
