Well this is it...only a few more hours of classes until complete freedom for two weeks. Everyone must be looking forward to sleeping in, getting in a little extra reading, and most of all(according to the poll), enjoying the great outdoors.
Here's a question for everyone to discuss: I've bought 7 coffees from Tim Horton's since the "Roll up the Rim to Win" contest started, and every time I've gotten the message "PLEASE PLAY AGAIN." It says on the cup that my chances of winning are 1 in 9. What are the chances that I will win on my next coffee?

your chances of winning depend on how many cups are out there.
and if it truly is one in nine
then number of cups = N
N(1/9)^number of times you try.
i think... i have to resort back to the probability section in my textbook....

Well Steve, I'm glad you asked that question... mostly because it is a good lead in to my question, which is... If I never ever buy anything at Tim Hortons, and I mean never, and then one day I decide to go in and buy a rrrrrroll up the rrrrrrim to win coffee, what then are my chances of winning? Are they still 1/9 or are they much less. The answer is this, of course my chances are good and not slim to none... it's like the same with any lotto, it's simply a gamble. Maybe i'll win and maybe I won't but the most important thing is this.... have you ever heard of Plato? Socrates? Einstein?..... Morons compared to me.
