The New England Patriots won the Super Bowl yesterday by a score of 24-21, to cement themselves as the latest NFL dynasty, winning 3 out of the last four years.
Meanwhile, in Vernon, most of the people I've talked to didn't watch the game. I've heard, "I don't understand the game," "It's not as exciting as the CFL," and "I only watched the half-time show." I don't think the Super Bowl will ever be that big in Canada, even with a non-existent NHL season this year.
All I know is that if I got any TV channels, I would have been there watching it all and cheering for that Super Bowl favourite, the half-time performer, Sir Paul McCartney.
